What is so much fun with patterns and color is the mixing and matching. By using the same color palette you can combine any pattern and style of fabric, but I also enjoy the pop of the unexpected. By using a contrasting color you can add interest to the design. I added a dot of black to this combination. It works because of the small scale pattern along with the contrasting color, and unexpected quality. You could use just a dash of this on a small throw pillow or on the back of the gold check. Even the back of the gold Damask fabric below would look fantastic with this fabric. Just add piping around the pillow’s edge to really accent interest and texture.
